Specifies the name of an external program that provides SAS input statements

Syntax

SYSINP=external-program-name

external-program-name
identifies an external program, using eight characters or less.


Details

SAS calls this external program every time it needs a new SAS input statement. The PGMPARM= option (see PGMPARM=) enables you to pass a parameter to the program that you specify with the SYSINP= option.

The SYSINP= option overrides the SYSIN= system option.
