Specifies the name of the host sort utility

Syntax

SORTNAME=host-sort-utility-name

host-sort-utility-name
is any valid operating environment name. A valid operating environment name can be up to eight characters, the first of which must be a letter or national character ($, #, or @). The remaining characters, following the first, can be any of the above, or digits.


Details

The SORTNAME= option specifies the name of the host sort utility to be invoked if SORTPGM=HOST or if SORTPGM=BEST and the host sort utility is chosen instead of the SAS sort utility. See SORTPGM= for information on sort utility selection.
