Details

The WORKINIT option controls whether the WORK data library is initialized at SAS System invocation. You can use the following forms of the WORKINIT option:

WORKINIT: specifies that a new subdirectory is to be created in the directory specified in the WORK option.
NOWORKINIT: specifies that the system is to use the directory specified by the -WORK option. SAS does not create a new WORK data library.
