Details

The FSDBTYPE system option specifies the full-screen type of double-byte character set (DBCS) encoding method. Under Unix, you can specify the following encoding-methods:

DEC
specifies the DEC DBCS encoding method.

DEFAULT
specifies the default DBCSTYPE for the host.

EUC
specifies the Extended UNIX encoding method.

HP15
specifies the HP-UX DBCS encoding method.

JIS7
specifies the JIS X0208 encoding method.

PCIBM
specifies the IBM PC DBCS encoding method.

SJIS
specifies the Shift-JIS encoding method. Valid only when the value of DBCSLANG is JAPANESE.

Each hardware manufacturer uses different DBCS encoding methods, so check with your system administrator for other values you can specify.
