Measles: Canada loses elimination status – SFU experts available
Canada no longer holds measles elimination status as the country grapples with a large measles outbreak that began in October 2024. SFU experts are available to comment on various aspects of the outbreak.

Expertise: McCracken’s current research focuses on major challenges in Canadian healthcare, including the shortage of family doctors and the barriers that Canadians face when trying to access primary care. As a family physician, she brings firsthand insight into how policies, funding, and organizational models affect patient care. She can also comment on vaccination rates and health disinformation.
