Budget information sessions: recap

Thank you to all the faculty, staff and students who attended this year’s Budget Information Sessions on November 23 and 30. Consultation with the SFU community is built into our budget processes because we want to hear from you, and we appreciate you taking the time to contribute to this ongoing conversation.

Departments across the university are now developing their budget plans to submit by early January, and these plans will be consolidated and submitted to SFU’s Board of Governors for approval in early March.

Recordings of both the student session and the open session for all faculty, staff and students are available on the Finance website. You can also visit the Frequently Asked Questions page to read written transcriptions of questions that were asked during the sessions, alongside information about how SFU’s budget is determined, how tuition fees get allocated and more.
