Celebrating SFU's October 2026 convocation graduands

Simon Fraser University is celebrating our exceptional graduands over two days of convocation ceremonies this week.

More than 1,750 graduands from across eight faculties will walk the hallowed steps across the SFU pond and down into Convocation Mall for the presentation of graduates.

In doing so, they will join SFU’s thriving network of more than 200,000 alumni across the globe.

The ceremonies, held today and tomorrow, are also the first under the auspices of SFU’s new chancellor, Elio Luongo, who was appointed to the role in June.

Visit SFU's convocation website to find out more information. You can also read more about our incredible graduand speakers and our inspiring honorary degree recipient.

As ever, SFU is extremely proud of our graduands and we look forward to following their journeys. Some of their unique success stories can be viewed below.
