World Aids Day: United Anger Film Screening

November 29, 2012

Visual AIDS was pleased to distribute United in Anger: A History of ACT UP, a film by director Jim Hubbard, produced by Sarah Schulman and Jim Hubbard for Day With(out) Art/World AIDS Day.

UNITED IN ANGER: A HISTORY OF ACT UP is the first feature-length documentary about ACT UP (the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power), a small group of people that came together to change the world and save each others' lives. The film takes the viewer through the planning and execution of exhilarating major actions with additional information about these historic events that forced the U.S. government and mainstream media to deal with the AIDS crisis. UNITED IN ANGER reveals the group’s complex culture while also exploring the profound grief, sexiness, and incredible energy of ACT UP.
