Think City Baby Talks: The big issues for people caring for little people
A conversation with Abigail Bond and Nancy Knight presented by the Think City Society in partnership with SFU's Vancity Office of Community Engagement and Public Policy Program.
Think City Baby Talks was a chance for people caring for babies to talk about the issues affecting our city. Parents and caregivers often come together to talk about issues related to caring for young children, like nutrition, sleep or childhood development, but what was unique about these sessions is that the topics were focused on the civic issues that impact our families. Each session included a short presentation by an expert speaker or panel, followed by small group discussions.
This first session was on housing. Is it possible to create affordable housing for middle and lower-income earners in Vancouver. It was for caregivers and pre-walking babies. There is no child minding and no childcare, so parents must be prepared to participate while caring for their babies.
