Reel Causes: God Loves Uganda
April 15, 2014
God Loves Uganda is a riveting exposé of the American evangelical movement’s role in Uganda where US missionaries have been credited with creating schools and hospitals that promote religious bigotry. As the American-influenced bill to make homosexuality punishable by death wins widespread support, tension in Uganda mounts and an atmosphere of murderous hate takes hold.
There was a panel discussion with Shanti Uganda Society, Rainbow Refugee Committee. and scholars of Ugandan society and history following the screening.
