I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mathematics at Simon Fraser University. I am based in the MAGPIE group and working with Caroline Colijn.

My work aims to help us understand connections between the epidemiology of pathogens and their evolution. Significant focus is devoted to respiratory viruses (including SARS-CoV-2) and ongoing projects are concerned with bacterial infections such as tuberculosis (TB).

Research

My research uses dynamical systems models and statistical approaches, and most recently I have been leveraging genomic data through the lens of statistical phylogenetics to understand factors that promote TB transmission.
