Welcome to my webpage!

I am an Assistant Professor at Simon Fraser University and a NBER Faculty Research Fellow. I received my PhD from the University of Toronto in 2017. 

My research interests are in Economics of Education, Environmental Economics, Labour Economics, and Applied Econometrics.

My research develops and applies econometric methods to study policies aimed at improving student achievement and reducing persistent educational inequality. Much of my work focuses on education, including research on teacher quality, school competition, class size, and how environmental factors such as pollution affect student outcomes. I also have an emerging research agenda examining public housing policy in Colombia.
