TCP Reno: slow start

• cwnd = IW = 1 or 2

• when cwnd < ssthresh,

cwnd = cwnd + 1 for each received ACK

• cwnd: congestion window

• IW: initial window

• ssthresh: slow start threshold

• ACK: acknowledgement

• RTT: round trip time
