Conclusions

Analysis of TELUS CDPD billing records:

• Yielded interesting observations even though data contain only a high-level description of the network usage.

• Indicated that user behavior varies periodically:

  • within a day (peaks at ~ 5 pm and valleys at ~ 6 am)
  • within a week (higher peaks on weekdays and lower peaks on weekends and holidays).

• Confirmed the periodical behavior observed in other reported studies of wireless networks.
