Advantages:
- no changes in FH
- hide wireless losses, no congestion control at the sender
- TCP end-to-end semantics is preserved
- faster recovery due to local retransmission
- typically better throughput than split-connection solution
Disadvantages:
- TCP-aware
- does not work for encrypted headers
- per-connection buffer required
- not much improvement for reverse traffic (MH to FH)
