Re: Elephant in the room: SFUFA Elections
This is an important point.
In a similar vein, we, as members of SFUFA, could insist that the next person who is hired as the permanent executive director have a clause in the contract that says s/he cannot take a position as an SFU administrator (or any university administrator?) for at least a specific length of time (five years?) after leaving the SFUFA position.
Cooperation with the administration can go too far and I feel we need to keep reminding SFUFA that its main duty is to advance our interests and that will undoubtedly be uncomfortable for the administration.
