This is one of the stupidest articles I've read in a long time. He quotes one rude student ranting on twitter and one professor! I've been teaching for nearly 20 years in a variety of university types (Ivy League as a grad student; a fifth rate public college in Georgia, SUNY system, a small private liberal arts college in PA, and now SFU) and while I've certainly encountered various degrees of entitlement and youthful arrogance, I've never met a student who treated facts like Trump does.
Why does George Will still have a column??

Subject: Trump and academia actually have a lot in common - The Washington Post
I should point out that this Post, unlike Canada's Post, is generally liberal. We have this grade inflation as well, as data I saw at Senate last year showed. As for the rest, I don't recall my students being this way but maybe it is a future trend, or just a phenomenon from the alternate reality to the south.
