Grants to catalyze community-university impact
SFU’s Community Engagement Initiative (CEI) offers small grants of up to $10,000 to SFU staff and faculty for projects developed with community partners that strengthen relationships and have meaningful impact.

- 2019-04-25 — The 2018-19 Call for Proposals is now closed. We received over 50 submissions, and look forward to communicating with applicants in mid-May. If you'd like to stay in the loop, please make sure you've signed up for the CEI newsletter.
- 2019-02-15 — The online submission form is now live! (But please make sure you've prepared your answers using the Helper Document before beginning your application.)
- 2019-02-05 — We're getting close to opening our online submission form. In the meantime, have a look at our CEI Application Helper Document (.docx) if you want to check out the required questions and information.
- 2019-01-30 — Did you subscribe to our newsletter? If you did, you should have received two automatic responses. One of them asked you to confirm your subscription by replying. If you did not do this, you will not be subscribed. If you can't find the email, you can check your spam folder, or just try subscribing again.
