Computing Science Peer Tutoring


Peer Tutoring will be conducted virtually for Fall 2020

  • Where should I go to see a CS Peer Tutor? Enrol in the Canvas course through a link received in your SFU email. This link will be sent by the end of the second week of classes. Please email if you have not received a link and you are a student in CMPT 120, 125, 127, 130 or 225.
  • When can I see a CS Peer Tutor? Monday to Friday, 10:30am to 4:30pm (see schedule below).
  • Do I need to make an appointment? Yes, this is mandatory! Appointments can be made within the Canvas course space.
  • When do sessions start? September 21, 2020

Please note that there are not tutoring sessions on public and statutory holidays. The last day of tutoring sessions will be the last day of classes, which is December 7th, 2020.

Would you like to join the CS Peer Tutoring Team? Every semester, we’re looking for CS Peer Tutors.  If you’re interested, please apply here: and attach your CV, transcript, photo of yourself, and a brief explanation about why you’d like to volunteer as a CS Peer Tutor

The deadlines for applications are the third Friday of November (for Spring semester), the third Friday of March (for Summer semester), and the third Friday of July (for Fall semester).

The deadline for Spring 2020 applications is November 20th, 2020.
