What's Online Conferencing?

Online conferences are used in this course for informal class communication, community-building and reading response discussions (only the latter are graded).

Specifically, WebCT provides text-based asynchronous (not real-time) and synchronous (real-time) communication tools. It also has additional tools (i.e. content presentation, quizzes, etc.) which are not being used for this course.
