SPATIAL ANALYSIS
I conducted spatial analysis using reclass to create a boolean map showing all the elevations lower then 1m, 2m, and 10m, which are seen here. It is overlayed over top of a greyscale landuse map to show where the water overlaps onto the land. Below there is also a map which shows all the landuse classes to help understand what is at risk. Sea level rise on the coast of Metro Vancouver with a 1 or 2 meter increase will not have very large implications on the majority of the region. People living right on the coast will probably see some effects. However, the data does show that if sea level continues to rise at the predicted rates, in the next 1000 years we might see a different coast line because a large portion of the city will be under water.
