Spatial Analysis
The spatial analysis portion of this project involved
two steps:
1. Least-cost Pathway Analysis
2. Connecting the Links
Rivers,
sloughs,
parks/greenspaces, railway lines, and electricity lines in the
GVRD
1.
Least-cost Pathway Analysis
For the least cost pathway analysis, I connected a costgow
surface i.e.
the point of origin, with the greenspace that I wanted it to connect
with.
For the entire spatial analysis see Appendix 3.
2. Connecting the Links
The
final portion of my project involved connecting the links i.e. the least-cost
pathways created above. To connect the links
I used the 'overlay module" with the 'addition' option. see Appendix
