By doing both the Boolean approach and Non-Boolean approach the most suitable locations for a facility that cater to ages 15 to 39 are located near the highway and major roads. This area is located near the 8 rinks sport complex which is continuing to expand. As a result the Decision wizard has led to this location as the area that is most suitable for a new volleyball facility.
This image was produced using the Boolean approach.
Looking at the image, the area suitable is located near major roads. Although the facility is not as close to the skytrain stations, there are buses that travel along the major road network. I did not add the bus stops layer because it is very clustered together which conflicts with the image. However, if you think about skytrain stations, every station has buses that leave the area and go along major routes. Thus, the area most suitable is located along bus stops. In this analysis, this site is located by 8 rinks in Burnaby which is a major sport complex which is expanding. This analysis has proven to be the best area for a new volleyball facility.
This image was produced using the non-boolean approach. This image represents the suitable area for development with the highest areas of population ages 15 to 39.
If the location did not focus on specific age groups but for all ages, there will be different suitable areas. The decision wizard created lots of suitable areas for a new facility not based on age. The most suitable area is almost the same as the other MCE analysis. When compared to the images, the area most suitable is located in the center.
