A Look Forward
The analysis presented in this project provides an overview of the current distribution of healthcare within the selected study area. It was able to reveal the major rural areas in which healthcare were inaccessible. However, there is much more work that can be done to improve upon our study. Firstly, the study only encompasses a small region of the rural landscape in Zimbabwe therefore, through simply enlarging the study area we would be able to have a more comprehensive look at healthcare inaccessibility. Furthermore, assessment and validation of the OSM data that was used as well as the data created would greatly improve the accuracy of future studies. This would require collaboration with groups working within Zimbabwe and if possible, the use of GPS trackers as a method of mapping out rural roads instead of manually digitizing them would significantly increase accuracy.
