Archive: Humanities and Modern Culture

The Institute seeks to promote, disseminate and publicize humanities research and activities throughout the academic and public spheres. Through video, conferences, and collaboration with local, national, and international organizations and social action groups, the Institute builds traditional and new audiences for the humanities. The relationship of culture, art, social theory and historical change is central to understanding individuals, their experiences and self-reflections in modern society. The Institute organizes conferences and symposia, and invites faculty, students and distinguished visitors from different disciplines to explore these contexts.
