Sterols - Parts Mix and Match
Different sterols share various features with cholesterol. To better understand the role played by the different parts of the cholesterol molecule, we are studying various sterols. More specifically, we study model membranes containing POPC-D31 and different sterols. By changing the concentration of sterols at various temperatures and concentrations, we gain information about a lot of different interesting properties.
