IN-PERSON LEARNING AND TEACHING RESUMES MONDAY

On Monday, January 24, SFU will return to in-person learning and teaching. Public health has advised that in-person learning is the single most important step that we can take for student mental health at this time. Please remember to use layers of protection—get vaccinated and get a booster when eligible, wear a mask properly, maintain distance and wash hands regularly.

SFU COMMENCES SEARCH FOR NEW ASSOCIATE VICE-PRESIDENT

Joanne Curry, Vice-President External Relations, is launching an executive search for a new position: SFU's first Associate Vice-President Communications and Marketing (AVPCM).

Per policy GP29, a search committee is being struck which will include two deans and elected faculty and staff members. An open forum for all SFU faculty and staff is planned for Thursday, February 17, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., to gather feedback on the search process—more details about how to participate in the search will be shared in the coming weeks.

Do you know a student, staff member, academic or member of the community at large whose decidedly unconventional and distinctly untraditional work provokes a wide audience? The award winner will receive $5,000 and make a public presentation. Submit your nomination by Tuesday, February 15.
