October 13, 2021

Professor Jeff Sonier has been honoured with a 2021 American Physical Society (APS) Fellowship in recognition of his outstanding contributions to physics throughout his career.

Sonier's well-deserved APS Fellowship is in recognition of his pioneering work in precise measurements of fundamental length scales in type-II superconductors and contributions to investigations of magnetism in unconventional superconductors using muon spin rotation techniques.

The Sonier Research Group conducts research at both SFU Burnaby Mountain Campus, and at TRIUMF's Centre for Molecular and Materials Science (CMMS) in Vancouver, BC.
