Please join us for this series of six public seminars on various dimensions of aboriginal issues.

These seminars are scheduled in spring 2002, at Simon Fraser University's Harbour Centre campus in downtown Vancouver, concurrent with the run-up to the provincial referendum on the aboriginal land claims treaty negotiations.

The series will provide essential and balanced background that citizens need to exercise their franchise in the referendum. Available are the 8 questions for the referendum ballot.

Gordon Gibson will moderate the series. He has written extensively on aboriginal policy and has consulted with many of the leading aboriginal and government officials involved in treaty negotiation over the last decade.

Some of the speakers will be academics specializing in aboriginal matters and others will be officials who are familiar with the history of treaty negotiation in BC. Invitations are being extended to aboriginal and government representatives.
