MBA-MOT goes online

Western Canada's first MBA for hi-tech professionals now includes an online option. SFU’s Management of Technology MBA program offers students the same content as the full-time program, with the same professors providing instruction. Students participate in real time, contributing ideas orally via microphone and an online whiteboard. The live sessions are also recorded for later playback.

The online program is the first to use the services of both SFU’s Learning and Instructional Development Centre (LIDC) and SFU Surrey’s eLinc. LIDC trains faculty new to online teaching while eLinc assists instructors with course design, the creation of online learning objects such as animations and PowerPoint examples, and course evaluation to ensure that appropriate instruments are in place to test student learning.
