SFU again ranks among Canada’s top 100 employers
Excellent maternity benefits, retiree health benefits, three on-site daycare facilities and free access to University fitness facilities are just a few of the employee benefits contributing to SFU’s eighth consecutive ranking as a Canada Top 100 Employer.
The University has a long and diverse list of employee benefits, ranging from paid days off to volunteer, an earned days-off program, subsidized professional development programs, 100-per-cent tuition for employees, spouses and children under the age of 25, and retirement-planning assistance.
Dario Nonis, executive director, SFU Human Resources, says: “It is a great honour to have received this award for eight consecutive years. I think this is recognition that the University has a number of services, programs and benefits which make SFU a very good place to work. This is also reflected in the fact that we have a very high employee retention rate. Once hired, employees tend to remain and have long careers at the University.”
