Thank you for your input

Over the past six months, we have heard in person and online from students, staff and faculty across SFU about the Sexual Violence and Misconduct Prevention, Education and Support Policy. The members of the Working Group and Advisory Group have listened to and learned from your contributions. Based on what we’ve learned, changes have already been made to our education and communication programs. Thank you for your participation in this important conversation.

Over the course of the consultation, we received 173 emails to our input@sfu.ca email account and anonymous feedback form. We also held 57 opportunities for in-person discussions on all three campuses. You can read a summary of the main themes from our in-person discussions or some of the online input we received.

Timeline for release of draft policy

Beginning January 4, and throughout January, the draft policy will be available for public review before it goes to the Board of Governors for discussion in January and again for approval in March. All members of the SFU community are encouraged to review the draft policy and provide input, either in person at a Town Hall event January 17 or 18 or online
