Our keynote speaker is Vancouver based Alisa Smith, co-author of the 100-mile diet book and co-host of the 100-mile challenge tv series. Our plenary speaker will discuss her experiences, motivations and challenges, on restricting her diet, for one year, to include only foods grown within 100 miles of Vancouver. We encourage all attendees and members of the public to join us for what will surely be a thought provoking, informative and entertaining evening on the geography of food.

The banquet is always a highlight of the annual WDCAG conference. Students, faculty, and others join together for this fun, social evening.  This year the banquet will be held on SFU's campus at the Diamond Alumni Centre. A local band, Eldorado, will provide entertainment. We encourage all attendees to purchase a banquet ticket and join us for what will surely be a lively evening. Banquet tickets can be purchased until March 1st and will not be available for purchase at the door.
