By Air:
Vancouver is served by both of Canada's domestic carriers, Air Canada and WestJet. Vancouver is also served by most international airlines, with many direct routes available to the Vancouver International Airport. You can learn more about flying into and out of Vancouver by visiting the Vancouver International Airport website.

By Train:
VIA Rail and Amtrak both serve Vancouver.  Note that Amtrak only has direct trips to Vancouver on some days, and usually requires transfer onto a bus in Seattle.

By Bus:
Greyhound Bus Lines services Vancouver from both Canadian and American locations. The Coquitlam station is closest station to the SFU Burnaby campus, but the Vancouver station provides easier connections to public transportation.

Public Transportation:
Vancouver has an extensive and reliable public transportation system.  There is direct rapid transit (SkyTrain) service from the Vancouver International Airport to downtown Vancouver.  If planning to take public transit to SFU’s main campus, note that you will have to transfer from the Skytrain to a bus (#135 “SFU”) at the terminus station (Waterfront station), or to the Millenium line and then transfer to bus #145 at Production Way station.

Other buses that stop at SFU are #145 (from the Production Way sky train station), #144 (from Metrotown) and #143 (from Coquitlam station).

Car Rental:
Car rental companies operating out of Vancouver International Airport include: National /Alamo , Avis, Budget, Hertz, Dollar/Thrifty
