Exams are a mix of multiple choice and short answer.
Anything in the readings or lecture is potentially on the exam, unless I specifically
say otherwise.
You will need a pen, pencil, and a non-programmable, non-communicating calculator. No other
materials can be out during the exam.
My grading policy is something you may not be used to: I grade entirely on your answer to the question
asked. That is, if I ask a yes/no question and do not ask for an explanation, all I want is the word
"yes" or the word "no". If I ask for the growth rate of real GDP, all I want is a number. You can
feel free to "show your work" but it is not required, and will not affect your grade.
You can lose up to 5 points on your exam for failure to follow the instructions. This includes
but is not limited to: failing to write (and bubble in, for your bubble sheets) your name and
student number on your exam, writing or erasing after the exam is done (even if it's just to write your
name on your exam), talking with classmates before all of the exams are turned in, etc.
This year's exams (and their answer keys when available)

Midterm #2 was in class on Thursday April 4, and covered chapters 1-12. Questions
