Action to Action
The boy's movements represent an action to action transition. Not only is he the only subject moving in the scene, is also moving very fast. It only takes three panels to show a boy from climbing in a tree to falling out of it.

This transition gives enough closure for the viewer to understand what is going on without creating a slow motion effect.
