Canadian Health Measures Survey Biobank Call for Proposals

Good morning,
 The Canadian Health Measures Survey (CHMS) is a Statistics Canada survey
 designed to collect valuable information about the health of Canadians.
 
Enhancing the visibility and use of this collected information is critical
 to the success of the survey. We would greatly appreciate if you could
 forward this email to your respective contacts, or publish our announcement
 on your website, newsletters, or other forum you feel would be appropriate
 for your organization.
 Call for Proposals for the CHMS Biobank
 From November 1 to December 31 , 2016, Statistics Canada is inviting
 researchers to apply for access to blood, urine and DNA samples from the
 CHMS Biobank for use in health studies. The biospecimens are available to
 any Canadian researcher who completes a review process and would benefit
 from a national population survey of approximately 5,600 participants per
 collection cycle.
 Biospecimens Available
 The CHMS has stored more than 400,000 tubes of blood fractions and urine from
 consenting participants aged 3 to 79. DNA samples have also been extracted
 and frozen for storage from consenting participants aged 14 and older.

 Appel de propositions pour la biobanque de l’ECMS
 Du 1 er novembre au 31 décembre 2016, Statistique Canada invite les

 d’urine et d’ADN de la biobanque de l’ECMS pour utilisation dans le cadre
 d’études sur la santé. Ces biospécimens sont mis à la disposition de tout
 chercheur canadien ayant suivi un processus d’évaluation et qui pourrait
 tirer parti d’une enquête nationale sur la population menée auprès d’environ
 5,600 participants par cycle de collecte.

 provenant des participants consentants âgés de 3 à 79 ans. Des échantillons
