4. Past seminar: eTrainerCB: Instructional Design and Production Tool
.......................................................
Thanks to some very thorough GEN member beta testers, TELEStraining is
moving into the next phase of eTrainerCB development with some excellent
suggestions for improving their product.

eTrainerCB is an instructional design and production tool for creating
online courses and modules. eTrainerCB integrates instructional design
templates, has a built-in Web authoring tool, and exports content to any
learning management system platform.

GEN members now have an option to participate in seminars through the
Virtual-U or Internet CourseReader software. The seminars are linked
together using VU-CR Connector, giving GEN members more flexibility in

6. Welcome all Capilano College "Knowplace" Learners!
.......................................................
GEN would like to extend a special welcome to educators enrolled in the
"Teach and Design Online" program offered through Capilano College. These
courses, hosted at "Knowplace", feature the Global Educators' Network as an
exemplary professional online community for learners to explore as part of
their module requirements.

The "Teach and Design Online" courses were developed by GEN member Frances
Long, using EDUcation Markup Language (EDUML), an open source language and
education management system invented by GEN member Bruno Vernier. Frances
and Bruno are busy wrapping up the first phase of their beta project. They
are also investigating CourseReader as an offline client for Open Chat, the
EDUML discussion tool.
