This course introduces students to the relationship between economic
activity and the environment. The objective is to familiarize students
with the causes, consequences and possible solutions to local and global
environmental issues. Topics covered include externalities, public goods,
cost-benefits analysis, environmental degradation and policies for environmental
regulations. The course will also cover global environmental issues such
as ozone depletion and biodiversity.

Instructions for Fall 2020 Term:
Given the rapidly changing conditions due to COVID-19, The course will be completed online.
- All assignments are to be submitted through CANVAS. Acceptable formats are Word (*.doc) or Adobe PDF (*.pdf) NO PHOTOGRAPHS of your homework pages (*.gif, *.jpeg, *.png NOT ACCEPTED)
- The final exam will be replaced by a series of chapter quizzes. These quizzes will be delivered online through CANVAS. The quizzes will not cover the entire course, only the chapters listed below.
- Each quiz will have a "window of time" for you to write. I will send out these times shortly. You should expect each quiz to be no more than 45 minutes. They will be multiple choice, True or False, and some short answer.
