There is lack of proper guidance for first time users. Simple tasks like adding new content and previewing the content on site requires steps that only novice users would understand; when it involves adding content from the “Site Browser” instead of the labelled “Manage Content” tab, where users instinctively clicked on.
Previewing content is also a hassle too; a pop-up is open instead of using the original tab/window, causing confusion when users have to swap between windows and refreshing the page to see the changes updated.
1. Enter “Manage” Tab
2. Spent some time finding the button to add new content
3. Click “Add a New Content” on top right
4. Finish entering details
5. Hit “Publish”. User mentioned the lack of feedback from the system
6. Tried to preview the post but failed
7. Went back to edit mode for the content but couldn’t find a way to preview
8. Explore “Site Browser” tab
9. Clicked on “about-us” folder, then index.html, no response from system
10. Went to sub-section labelled “HTML Pages”
11. Clicked on “About Us”, then “preview”
12. Pop-up of preview page. User mentioned there are no content.
13. Try adding new content again, choosing “New Content” sub option
14. Retyped new content and publish
15. For interest, we ask user to try finding the older content
16. User hit add content and tried “reuse content” options
17. Enter search page but forgot the title of the content
