Janet Torge

Janet Torge wears the hats of a television documentary producer, bookkeeper, archivist and prenatal teacher. In past careers, she’s been a radio talk-show host and traffic reporter, Montreal Gazette columnist, author and co-founder of the first rape relief centre in Canada.

Radical Resthomes was conceived some 30 years ago when she and her friends watched their parents age and wanted to avoid seniors’ residences like the plague.  The vision has changed and Janet has aged - but she never lost sight of the idea that aging doesn’t have to take place in an institution.
