Features

The SNSlytics platform includes web-based user interface for easy browsing and convenient file management of all server-side collected data. The platform offers data intelligence dashboard integrated with scraped database making it easier to query, visualize, and build reports. The platform offers privacy and online security, and it is exclusively hosted in a Canada-based server, ensuring data sovereignty.

When setting a search term, the scripts are programmed to automatedly collect data once every day to ensure that as many posts as possible are collected including some that might get deleted afterwards while ensuring that no duplicates are kept in the dataset.

Currently, it collects social media data from 6 social media sites, and more social media sites will be incorporated into it in the near future (please see note below):

YouTube

•   Searches YouTube for recent videos matching a list of topics or keywords.

•   Collects key information about each found video (title, channel, publish date, view and like counts, and description).

•   Retrieves available captions/transcripts to get what was said in the video.

•   Produces timestamped CSV files that bundle each video's information and transcript for easy analysis or sharing.

•   Keeps a running record of processed videos so the dataset builds over time.

Telegram

•   Collects messages from a list of public Telegram channels for monitoring and research.

•   Can either gather every message or only messages that match search topics/keywords from public channels.

•   Configurable channel list and topic keywords so it can be tailored to different monitoring needs.

Rumble

•   Automatically searches the Rumble video platform for a set of topics of interest.

•   Gathers information about each found video (e.g., creator name, title, duration, views, likes, comments, tags, and description).

•   Captures useful links for each video, including viewing, embedding, and direct-download links when available.

•   Saves all collected results into a timestamped CSV file for easy sharing and analysis.

Reddit

•   Regularly finds and collects Reddit posts that match chosen search terms.

•   Captures both the original posts and the community discussions including response threads attached to them.

•   Saves collected data centrally so it’s ready for analysis or reporting.

Mastodon

•   Collects public posts from specified Mastodon accounts and from searches by hashtag.

•   Saves collected posts to CSV files for easy sharing and analysis.

•   Configurable which accounts and hashtags to monitor, so it can focus on topics or sources of interest.

Bluesky

·        Collects public posts from specified Bluesky accounts and from searches by hashtag.

·        Saves collected posts to CSV files for easy sharing and analysis.

·        Configurable which accounts and hashtags to monitor, so it can focus on topics or sources of interest.

News RSS Feeds

·        Regularly gathers news items from a maintained list of news sources.

·        Captures the full article text when the source allows it, not just the headlines.

·        Avoids saving the same article multiple times so reports stay clean.

Google Trends

·        Fetches interest scores for a list of keywords across geographies.

·        Ability to customize timeframe (week, month, year, etc.) for interest scores.

·        Collected into CSV files as well as on the dashboard.

Other social media sites like TikTok, 9Gag, Douyin, Gab, Imgur, LinkedIn, Truth Social, X (formerly Twitter), Douban (Chinese site and the search is based on group IDs or URLs) as well as the Russian VK (VKontakte) and Odnoklassniki can be scrapped with various limitations using customized scripts that are not yet incorporated into the Dashboard.
