The SFU SCC Clinic will not be running this year, from September 2023 - April 2024 and reopening with clinical services in August / September of 2024. Clinical service will be temporarily unavailable for the next two terms from the Clinic.

One of our partners, the SAFE Program - has a limited number of spaces available for general mental health referrals until December 2024, and has a separate intake process. See SAFE Program offerings SAFE staff and practicum students, as well as Counselling psychology faculty will be on site weekly assisting with resourcing for other services.

However, we will not be seeing clients through the Clinic this year due to a skipped intake last year.

Please refer to our Resources section for low cost or free counselling services

We apologize for this pause in our service and will keep you updated in January 2024.

Director, SFU Surrey Community Counselling

Weekly Online or in Person Counselling

We offer a combination of in-person and telehealth counselling services. Both services are contingent upon availability and public health mandates.

Days: Wednesdays and Thursdays from September through to April, with a four week winter break

Once you have a scheduled time, this remains your weekly session time for the duration of your services at the centre for the semester.

Before Scheduling Your Initial Appointment

We will arrange a time to talk with you on the telephone about your counselling needs so that we can ensure our services are a good fit. If our services do not match your needs we will assist you in finding other mental health resources.
