Computing science researchers receive over $600,000 from BC knowledge development fund

Four professors in the SFU School of Computing Science are recipients of over $600,000 from the BC Knowledge Development Fund (BCKDF). 

The BCKDF was established to invest in and support the research infrastructure in B.C. by providing funding for public post-secondary institutions, research hospitals and affiliated non-profit agencies.

Computing Science BCKDF Recipients: 

Sheelagh Carpendale - Data visualization
BCKDF Award: $150,000

Yasutaka Furukawa - Next-Generation Smart Building 
BCKDF Award: $192,779

Mo Chen and Manolis Savva - Human-centred autonomous agents through data collection and generation
BCKDF Award: $300,000
