SFU Galleries is pleased to be participating in this year's Vancouver Art Book Fair at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. VABF is an annual festival of artists' publishing featuring over one hundred local, national and international publishers, alongside a range of programs, performances and artists' projects.

This year we will be offering a FREE publication from the Critical Reader Series with the purchase of any three in the Series. The Critical Reader Series is a discursive forum that encourages critical writing projects that run parallel to exhibition programming at SFU Galleries.

We will also be featuring Recipes for Survival (1983) by Maria Thereza Alves, published by University of Texas Press, Austin (2018) with a foreword by Michael Taussig. Alves' book will also be made available during her talk, presented in collaboration with the City of Vancouver Public Art Program. $60
