SFU Streetfest! 2023

StreetFest! is a community street festival hosted every year by Simon Fraser University (SFU), UniverCity, and the Simon Fraser Student Society (SFSS). This is the fifth year of Streetfest! and second year that SFU Galleries has taken part.
This year at Streetfest!, SFU Galleries offers a hands-on, making-focused opportunity to dream up programming for the highly anticipated Marianne and Edward Gibson Art Museum, which opens on Burnaby campus in early 2025.
Following the art museum’s floorplan, and the many possibilities for exciting programs the new facility will offer, visitors are invited to draw, sketch, write, and colour up their dreams of multigenerational events they’d like to participate in at the Gibson.
Find our tent and join us in some playful collaborative making, as we explore what makes art museums empowering and inclusive places to be.
