The eighth volume of the Agora, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Centre for Hellenic Studies at SFU's annual publication, is now available!
Agora is the Greek word for public space; it is the place where citizens come together, where ideas and goods are exchanged, and where politics are created. It is also where we get to share some of the exciting activities, events and initiatives that we have underway at the Centre. This publication informs students, faculty, and the community at large who share our interest in Hellenism.
In volume eight, you can read about the 2019-2020 academic activities of our faculty and student members as well as more recent events, including the launch of the Greek language learning platform Staellinika. You can also learn about our new home in the Department of Humanities, discover a unique collaboration between an artist and historian, and become acquainted with our newest member, professor David Mirhady, and more!
