Biography

Stefano Giacchetti is a philosopher and academic leader with over twenty years of teaching experience across American and international institutions, including Loyola University Chicago, St. John’s University, John Cabot University, and The Catholic University of America (Rome). At the Rome Center of Loyola University Chicago, he also served as Interim Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. His scholarship focuses on Critical Theory and Continental philosophy, with particular attention to subjectivity, aesthetics, and resistance in modern society. He is the editor of several books and the author of numerous articles and book chapters, and he has presented his work at conferences worldwide. In addition to his academic work, he has organized and led major international conferences, including 18 editions of the International Critical Theory Conference.
