Biography

Wayne Knights is a Sessional Lecturer teaching various courses in the Department of Global Humanities at Simon Fraser University. In the deep, dark past, he taught European and Canadian history at both the University of Victoria and Simon Fraser Programs in Federal Prisons from 1978 to 1991. He also coordinated university programs in several levels of secure Federal Prisons while teaching. His interests include European Intellectual History, particularly in the interwar period, and the problem of historical time in history education. He has also published jointly on the History of Educational Publishing in Canada. He is semi-retired and living on Pender Island.
