Natalie Chu

Natalie Chu is a PhD student in Criminology at Simon Fraser University (SFU) supervised by Dr. Richard Frank. She obtained her BCom with a specialization in Accounting and MScB in Management Information Systems from the University of British Columbia. Her research is focused on financial fraud, cybercrime, and AI safety. 

Natalie is currently developing agent-based simulations to measure and evaluate the contribution of AI/ML systems towards enhancing the ability of users to detect and prevent financial fraud victimization. She is also developing a multi-agent AI system that can assist with the collection, analysis, and information sharing of fraud reports made to law enforcement and financial institutions.
